“Our strength will continue if we allow ourselves the courage to feel scared, weak, and vulnerable.” -Melody Beattie

As an introvert, I think I have been training for Social Distancing all my life. I live alone and mostly work from home doing long distance healings, BIP Sessions and working on schoolwork, DLM’s and such while sitting at my table in the living room. I have always craved alone time. Now the world seems to be moving in my direction, all-be-it not by choice.

One of the things I’ve been doing over the past few weeks is cleaning out my files, scanning things that are important , then recycling and shredding everything. I started this project before social distancing started but now I have even more time to work on this. Especially interesting has been going through my files from my time at BBSH. I found a printout of an email I sent in my third year to my classmates about my fear of connection. I write in it that making contact is really a struggle. For me it was making the choice between fear and love. Would I remain in fear or would I reach out for love.

Now in the time of Covid 19 there is an existential fear of making contact and we are being told to isolate. This is having the result of us all feeling scared, helpless, overwhelmed and vulnerable. I feel it is essential that we allow ourselves to have these feelings and to express them. The key here is to be able to reach out for support during this time.

When we are doing large group process at school we always say to the participants in the group as the process is going that if you need help to reach out for support. Right now, the world is going through a large group process … it is time for you to reach out for support as well as to support others. All the while remember that your strength and courage come from your ability to feel and express what is happening within you.

Call your BIP for a session, do a long-distance healing with your healer, text a bunch of friends and send them virtual hugs. There are endless ways and platforms to connect and reach out to give and receive support.

No one really knows what will happen as this pandemic works through our lives. No one knows what “normal” will be when it is over. We will all grow in ways that we have not even imagined of as of yet. For now, in this moment don’t let yourself isolate, reach out and find the support you need.

May the perfection in this situation bring to you your highest good.

With Love
IN-Joy
