2014 is a time of re-birth! Astrological transits, electromagnetic shifts and five New Super Moons are moving us forward this year. We are truly ready for rebirth; we have been waiting a long time for this kind of movement to take place and it is finally here. Insights abound if we allow ourselves some quite time to listen to Spirit. I have certainly found this to be true this year as I channel new information coming through; different from any other I have yet received. The energy coming through is affecting our light bodies in such a way that we need to realign them and recalibrate with this new energy.

I find myself revisiting old nutritional information I once knew but needed to be reminded of. This is important because our bodies need the right fuel to be able to vibrate at higher levels. Hardly a day goes by that we are not being reminded of the contamination of our food supply that is occurring. Hawaii is going to Federal Court to attempt to stop Monsanto from continuing to ravage their land with GMO seeds and pesticides that are being used in such large quantities that there is genuine concern about their long time affects on growing children and animals. They actually want to put Agent Orange in our food supply_ can you believe it? And add aspartame to milk without labeling it. Why do you suppose these companies are spending so much to keep GMO products from being labeled in the food supply? What don’t they want us to know? Did you know it is Monsanto that produces fructose corn syrup?

I have always been interested in nutrition; I studied it for many years and use it in my healing practice on a routine basis. If there are functional issues going on in the body such as adrenal stress, they can greatly affect emotions and other physical issues. By addressing this first, then we can see the extent of other healing that is needed. In the Brennan system, we learned to restructure and balance organs, which is far beyond what traditional medicine can do with these issues, even Chinese medicine and acupuncture, and yet sometimes nutritional supplements are needed to “feed the organ” for a complete healing to occur.

I remember when sugar was what we were supposed to avoid as unhealthy and if we gained some weight, by reducing sugar and calories we could lose it. Obesity was rare; now it is epidemic! I revisited the information on fructose corn syrup and aspartame, I was reminded of their affects on our brains and their contribution to the obesity epidemic and resolved to be even more consciousness of what I was eating. With a little investigation, I found that my favorite bakery uses fructose corn syrup in their muffins and msg in their soup; no wonder I want to eat there so often. According to Dr. Robert Lusting, Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Endocrinology at the University of California, San Francisco:

• “Glucose suppresses the hunger hormone ghrelin and stimulates leptin, which suppresses your appetite. Fructose has no effect on ghrelin and interferes with your brain’s communication with leptin, resulting in overeating.
• The fatty acids created during fructose metabolism accumulate as fat droplets in your liver and skeletal muscle tissues, causing insulin resistance and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). Insulin resistance progresses to metabolic syndrome and type II diabetes.
• When you eat 120 calories of glucose, less than one calorie is stored as fat. 120 calories of fructose results in 40 calories being stored as fat. Consuming fructose is essentially consuming fat!
• The metabolism of fructose by your liver creates a long list of waste products and toxins, including a large amount of uric acid, which drives up blood pressure and causes gout.”
Dr. Richard Johnson’s latest book, The Fat Switch, dispels many of the most pervasive myths relating to diet and obesity. He discovered the method that animals use to gain fat prior to times of food scarcity, which turned out to be a powerful adaptive benefit. His research showed that fructose activates a key enzyme, fructokinase, which in turn activates another enzyme that causes cells to accumulate fat. When this enzyme is blocked, fat cannot be stored in the cell.
Interestingly, this is the exact same “switch” animals use to fatten up in the fall and to burn fat during the winter. Fructose is the dietary ingredient that turns on this “switch,” causing cells to accumulate fat, both in animals and in humans.1

Aspartame

Fructose corn syrup is in everything now; read the labels. That’s old news. But I for one had lost track of how invasive it had become and how it might be affecting me. Aspartame is another story. According to Dr. Mercola, a well known nutritional expert, says the reason it is causing weight gain instead of weight loss is because “phenylalanine and aspartic acid – the two amino acids that make up 90 percent of aspartame — are known to rapidly stimulate the release of insulin and leptin; two hormones that are intricately involved with satiety and fat storage. Insulin and leptin are also the primary hormones that regulate your metabolism.
So although you’re not consuming calories in the form of sugar, aspartame can still raise your insulin and leptin levels. Elevated insulin and leptin levels, in turn, are two of the driving forces behind obesity, diabetes, and a number of our current chronic disease epidemics. Over time, if your body is exposed to too much leptin, it will become resistant to it, just as your body can become resistant to insulin, and once that happens, your body can no longer “hear” the hormonal messages instructing your body to stop eating, burn fat, and maintain good sensitivity to sweet tastes in your taste buds.”

“You remain hungry; you crave sweets, and your body stores more fat. Leptin-resistance also causes an increase in visceral fat, sending you on a vicious cycle of hunger, fat storage and an increased risk of heart disease, diabetes, metabolic syndrome and more.

Additionally, large doses of phenylalanine can lower important neurotransmitters like sero¬tonin, which also influences satiety. Decreased serotonin levels reduce feelings of satiety, which can then lead to over-eating or binge eating. In the end, the research tells us that artificial sweeteners are nothing more than a pipe dream when it comes to being a dieter’s aid, because contrary to what the marketing campaigns claim, low- or no-calorie artificial sweeteners are more likely to help you pack on the pounds than shed them.” 2
That’s to say nothing about the brain tumors aspartame is causing. So if we want to remain healthy(or get healthy) and embody higher vibration and consciousness, we need to fuel our bodies with healthy foods, not contaminated ones. We don’t have to eat contaminated foods, but we have to be diligent in what we ingest and we need to take a stand with companies like Monsanto who are manufacturing and promoting these products so that we can continue to have a choice.

I remember learning in my spiritual studies about the genetic manipulation that occurred in Atlantis and about fractals in time when events repeat themselves. It’s occurring again, folks, in a different way. By manipulating our food supply, our genetics are being manipulated again, if we allow it , which leads to chronic disease and lowered vibration. We can make different decisions this time and not be victimized. Stand Tall and in your power, humanity; become conscious of what is going on, make healthy choices, and don’t allow our food supply to become tainted in this way by taking a stand with the companies that are doing this.
