Wired for God: Adventures of a Jewish Yogi by Dani Antman is a delightfully honest book with a detail and awareness that makes you go, “Hmmm. . . Where am I going in my life?” With the courage and perseverance to follow her path no matter where it leads, Dani describes her adventures toward spiritual awakening within herself, her own Jewish heritage, and through the Kundalini process with the guidance a Swami adept.

Of interest to BBSHers, Dani writes about how she met Barbara, and attended and completed the first 4-year program in Brennan Healing Science on Long Island, NY. She went on to study the Kabbalistic sciences with another Brennan graduate, Jason Shulman, and has her own healing practice.

Dani is clear that spiritual progression happens through spiritual practice. Finding the right path that meets your own inner needs and direction requires the right support as well as your own persistence. Offering this book as a reflection of discernment and clarity, Dani delves deeply into her struggles, her belief system, and her continuing efforts to find the practice that eventually culminates in a Unitive consciousness experience.

Finding a teacher that could explain and embrace a spiritual path that encompassed a more holistic view of spirituality provided an opening in Dani’s journey. “To understand how Kundalini works is to understand the inner workings of all spiritual traditions. She is the force behind all awakenings and has been called many different names in different traditions, including Holy Spirit, Divine Mother, Shekinah, Holy Grail, and Shakti, to name a few.” (Swamiji, p. 111)

Discovering others who also supported Dani on her path was vital in her continuing nourishment and uncovering of self, and un-self. However, as Dani explains, dedicated practice is what deepens us on our path. We are all ‘wired for God’—our practice is a remembering that we are not separate but One reality. Dani’s written experiences remind and inspire us to live in this certainty.
