I don’t know how 2019 felt to you, but to me and many people around me, this past year was a year of conclusion and accomplishments. Projects that weren’t finished came to an end. Things that were dragging behind us, were let go of or came to a resolution. A sense of relief, accomplishment, detachment and satisfaction was very palpable in people close to me and even myself. If felt like an era of expansion that reached its peak and now contraction is feeling like it’s creating space for new beginnings.
When I completed school this past Summer, a strong sense of building a healing community came forward. I’ve had this feeling for years. It is a longing to help deepen the connection between alumni and, if possible, current BBHS students so that we can continue to support each other even if we graduated in different years or even decades! The longing of building a community outside of school was also accompanied by a firm desire to bring Brennan Healing Science out into the world. Out of these two longings, the Business Development Mentoring Program was born, and the first workshop Creating a Healing Practice is now starting next week with a really good response.
This workshop is literally taking a life of its own. Rather than me creating it, I’m simply following what is being laid in front of me to the best of my abilities, and it’s telling me what to do. This program is bringing to life my longings to build community, provide support, and share this work with others, not to mention that I’m having a blast!!! Which is new for me as work was always seen as a duty rather than a joy, and I also felt that I had to do everything myself and now I have a wonderful team. And even better yet, I don’t need to know it all 🙂 ….. what a relief!!!
I can tell that this manifestation is the beginning of a new era not only for myself, but also for the Association as I’m finding that I’m not alone in wanting to help bringing alumni and students together. There are so many of us out there that want to stay connected, that want to help strengthen this community, that want to be with like minded people, and that appreciate the process we all went through in BBSH, and that we’re looking for ways to share this with the world.
I’m really curious to see now what happens with this creation. People that are coming to help with this, are all coming together with a strong intention of being of support and help spread the word of Brennan Healing Science. There are no attachments, just a sense of reverence and appreciation. Let’s see what comes.
